What is included in my order?

The Small Wheel Lite includes:

What is the difference between the Classic and Lite Wheel?

The Lite Wheel is our newest and only current model, replacing the Classic Wheel (released in 2023 and now discontinued). Here are some of the key differences:

Speed: Lite is faster, up to 200rpm vs 160rpm on the Classic

Clay capacity: Lite can comfortably handle 500g (likely closer to 800g to 1kg) vs 350g on the Classic

Wheel head size: Lite has a larger 10cm head vs 7.5cm on the Classic

Power: Lite is significantly more powerful at 12v, 120W vs 12v, 36W on the Classic

Wheel head material: Lite uses a metal flat head designed to thrown directly onto (with optional 3d printed plastic batts)

Controls: Lite has a single knob for speed and direction, while Classic uses separate speed and direction controls

Power source: Both are plug in via DC connector (no battery option on either)

      Please note:

      • Classic accessories and spare parts are only compatible with the Classic Wheel
      • Be sure to select the correct batteries for your wheel model
      • The current mini trimmer is only compatible with the Classic Wheel (a Lite version is coming soon)

Right now our Lite wheel is available in Red, Black, Forest Green, Cyan, Ochre and Pink. If you have another colour in mind, we also offer custom colours for an additional £20. Just send over a photo or colour sample and we will do our best to match it for you.

How much clay can I throw on the Small Pottery Wheel?

Our Lite wheel can comfortably handle 500g, or up to 1kg if you're an experience thrower. They are designed for throwing smaller shapes and functional ware, so any more than this might damage the motor!

What kind of clay can I use on the Small Pottery Wheel?

You can use any type of clay! For beginners who don't have access to a kiln, try using air drying clay, and for those wanted to use regular clay I would reccommed porcelain for its softness and its final appearance!

Are there any updates on the Pro wheel?

You can find all updates and FAQs around development and timelines here, and we will continue to update this regularly.
