Plastic Batt ( Lite ) - Beta
Our new patent pending batt, simply snap fit to your pottery wheel's head, the friction keeps it in place and allows you uninterrupted throwing sessions for hours on end.
Tested for the most demanding throws will sit in place and not budge!
Please note that, due to being made from plastic, this batt is not to be used with any heat gun as it will melt or warp! A heat gun can be used if clay is thrown directly on the wheel head.

This is entirely up to you! You can throw directly onto the wheel head, so batts are a completely optional add-on. It really comes down to how many pieces you plan to make in one sitting the more pieces, the more bats you may want to have on hand.
Simply place your palm flat in the centre of the batt and press down firmly, then work a firm circular press around the diameter until it sits flush. The batt is designed for a snug fit so it may need a little more pressure than you'd expect, but once it's in place it won't budge! To remove, simply lift from one corner or use a tool to gently pop it up.
As the batt is made from plastic, using a heat gun directly on or near the batt will cause it to melt or warp. If you'd like to use a heat gun we recommend throwing directly onto the wheel head instead, though please use from a distance and with caution, ensuring the wheel head does not get too hot.
These batts are compatible with the Small Pottery Wheel Lite only and are not designed for use with other pottery wheels, including our Classic model.
